Happy 2nd Birthday to Dharma...

A little late on the post.  Dharma celebrated his 2nd birthday on November 23rd.  We had 3 birthday parties, as we do every year for each child.  We celebrate all weekend long... and sometimes all week long.  Lots of cake and yummy food.  I did most of the baking this year... and I think the cakes turned out pretty good (I substituted eggs with Apple Cider Vinegar).
No fun designs this year for Mr. D's cakes and cupcakes, but I did add some Chocolate Nascar Race Cars around the cake.  ;0)  I think the kids approved.  Anything chocolate usually goes in this house.

Vegan Lunches for kids

I decided to start a journal of some of the lunches that I have prepared for my Daycare children.  Here are a few different plates, all balanced in nutrition.  Mostly Organic, Vegan, and Yummy!

Halloween- trick or treat

Trick or Treat.
We had a great night.  A balmy 13 degrees and not a cloud in the sky.  My 3 little Bats and 1 Joker had no problems scoring lots of candy and smiles.  Maya was the trooper of the night.  She stayed out with me until 7:30pm and it was I who had to stop because of my bladder.  We followed up our trick or treating with passing out the last of our treats at home... closing up shop around 8:30pm.  Maya did almost all of the passing out of treats... and when we were not busy enough, she would heckle the kids to come and get some... calling them "tatter tots".  :0)  too funny!
BTW, don't you love Dharma's "angry" face.

Happy Tofurkey Weekend

Some photos from our Camp Fortune Ski Lift adventure in the Gatineau Hills on the Quebec side.  We hit a perfect day... 22 degrees and the trees colours were spectacular.  We followed this day by taking a walk in the Ravine just off our home street, Taffy Lane.  Todd took a beautiful shot of Maya... striking both in colour and b/w.

September = School

First day of school.  Ethan was thrilled to see his school friends.... not so thrilled about a "6 and a half hour day".... a day too long for Ethan.
Maya and her class-friend (who I daycare), both enjoyed their first day of school... in the rain... loving the 2 and a half hour day... wishing for more.

Uncle Sean and Gina's Wedding

So, the photos are in no particular order.  Just didn't work out for me.  The kids were the best dressed, I think.  ;0)
