Still trying to post photos of TiGGer...

Here are some photos of TiggER from around 4 months old to 5 months old.
The photos are pretty much in order, from her first day up until now.

TiGGer's First Month with us...

Here are some photos, as promised.
TiGGer's current weight: 60lbs
TiGGer's estimated adult weight: 110lbs
WOW! That is a lot of poop!

Halloween

Halloween was so much fun. The kids had a riot. Tons of candy, no shock value there.
I'm impressed that they haven't been asking for it more. I think the key is to let them make themselves sick over it and to let them draw their own conclusions from their sick experiences ... like "candy is not healthy, sugar makes us sick".. love it. I just nod. No wave. And not even an I told you so. I must be maturing as a mother or maybe it was just my monthly cycle kicking in. Full moon? Maybe my new dryer, (that i love so dearly b/c my life no longer revolves around hating laundry) made me a better mom. I'm thinking the latter of the bunch. ;0)
So, back to Halloween. Our night was awesome. Nana and Poppa brought over Vegan Shepard's pie, and a fresh loaf of bread.... and a bottle of red, but that is another story.
Shannon joined us for the evening which always makes things interesting.... again another story.
I think I'll leave the story of Halloween like that. It was a typical Halloween. Trick or treating was split into 2 groups, the boys vs. the girls... and the girls won again. Shannon got spooked by a couple of our neighbors. Maya started out pretty timid. Mommy walked the street with a glass of red in hand... which i highly recommend to all parents for future occasions... and make it any occasion really. And we all met back at the house to feast on candy, chocolate, and chips while playing go fish with the kids. Thankful for the time change this year. Went off with out crusty, cranky, crabby children.

So that is it for that.

Next post I'll be including some photos of the pup. Promise. Our TiGGer has put on 20lbs over 4 weeks. She is a big girl. She is also a very sweet girl. For someone who doesn't like dogs, I think that is saying a lot. I highly recommend her breed to all who are looking for a dog.
Check out Stephen's website when you get the chance.... I've added it to my links.

"Auntie Shanna" comes to stay

Auntie Shanna, Shanna Montana, and Aunt Shannon ... would you please step forward.
The kids and I enjoyed a wonderful week with you.
Todd was away in New York on a Yoga training workshop with Rod Stryker, and I had some fabulous company while he was away.
Thanks for your help and your movies (and your goodies)!

Tigger is here!

We have a new addition to our family. Todd brought home a 4 month old female Cane Corso on Thursday. I will post photos soon. I haven't had the energy to take photos. She is a sweetie, but a puppy, and all puppies are lots of work. I keep thinking that in a few months we will look back at these times and laugh.

Looking back at our Blog Profile...

Our blog was created shortly after Dharma was born. It, like Dharma, is almost 3 years old.
This morning, while drinking coffee and eating a bagel, I decided to re-read our profile write up about "us".

Here it is. . .
Ethan was born in 2002. He is quiet and introspective. He enjoys playing on the computer and drawing. Maya was born in 2004. She is full of energy and loves to explore. She is very physical and loves dancing, jumping from high places and standing on her head. Dharma was born November 2006. So far, he's quiet and he loves to eat. He seems pretty calm up to now, too. Amanda and Todd got together in 1999 and are the proud parents in this family.

Now, Ethan and Maya are still fitting the description. On the other hand, Dharma has really changed!
For those of you who have experienced our Dharma, you will know that he is a Tazmanian Devil, at best of times. He has not learned the concept of rules, boundaries, or personal space. Well, maybe he has been learning, but has decided to scrap those ideas and go forward with his own. He often challenges Todd and I on everything and anything, just to be different.. or difficult. "Dharma get down!" Yes, he is climbing the table to get on top of the kitchen counter where he is reaching for the hair cutting scissors.... "DHARMA!". Finally he gets down, but not because he is listening to me. He has what he was looking for, not scissors, but hand lotion. Coming back to me, he drops it, and tells me "Mommy, I don't like you". He says this calmly. I say "I love you Dharma". He replies with another "I don't like you"... Maya and Ethan egg it on by laughing and telling him to say it again. This is an interesting stage we are going through, one that requires patience and understanding... and a lot of YOGA. Without the Yoga, I'm a stress ball. That is a whole other chapter.
I have to close with this... Maya says "I'm going to sell Dharma for FREE". Dharma replies, "I don't like you".
Ethan chimes in, "I love you Dharma". Dharma again closes with, "I don't like you".

One of those mornings.

Continuing on...

Some fun times from Canada Day on.... more updates to come soon.

WE ARE BACK!

Time has come and gone. Last post was far too long ago... February?
Mothers guilt about that, just a bit. I must say that I am sorry.
No excuses. I will do better.
Some photos taken by Todd with his new camera. Shots starting in May, trickling into July.
Wishing everyone a happy summer!

Valentine's Day - Ravine

Todd and the kids had a lovely time hiking in the Ravine by our house.
Beautiful day.
